The current dual-tree network structure has certain limitations and cannot well support the requirements of the new generation of applications and service development. Over time, a complete set of management and operation system has been built around the network. The network of more edge organizations is designed based on this structure, while the design structure of the core network completely innovates the existing structure and faces the following service challenges:
● Expansion capability: integration and new construction of data centers and branches require flexible access and expansion of the network;
● Reliability: the system requires that the network can reduce the impact on the application system under various fault and disaster environments and even make the application unconscious;
●Transmission efficiency: distributed deployment of application systems and applications requiring low transmission delay such as video and voice require higher network efficiency;
● Management efficiency: under the background of autonomous operation and maintenance of the financial industry, it is necessary to reduce the complexity of network operation and maintenance. The network structure should be clear and convenient to operate and maintain.
The bank core network construction solution is a network using MPLS VPN technology. The roles of network equipment are divided into three types: RR, P and PE to provide high availability. The core node is expanded through the convergence layer to be used for data center, core node metropolitan area network and wide area network access.
RR, as an isolated network island, is respectively connected with p devices in the two planes of the core network to provide VPN v4 routing information for PE devices. Each core node uses two p devices and is connected into a double loop structure to form two data planes, which are only responsible for data forwarding. The two data planes are expanded by the convergence layer composed of PE equipment and are used for data center, core node metropolitan area network and wide area network access.
● Loosing coupling: a loose coupling structure centered on the network;
● Unified bearer: VPN technology is used to realize the unified bearer of isolated services in the network, simplifying the network structure;
● Flexible access: modular design, flexible access of edge organizations and strong expandability;
● High-speed interconnection: multi-data centers are connected at high speed, and exchange visits between branches are convenient;
● Reliable availability: it has the ability to resist failures and disasters at all levels, and keeps the network reliable and applications available;
● Efficient management: unified management of equipment, balance of path redundancy and controllability;

● The virtual private network technology used by the core network implements logical isolation for applications with different security requirements, which meets the efficient use of investment and also meets the security isolation requirements.
